Hokkaido Fusion Experience 1 Day Lesson (Funan Studio)

Objective The Hokkaido Fusion Experience 1-Day Lesson aims to immerse participants in the rich flavours and premium ingredients of Hokkaido through hands-on cooking and baking.

Participants will learn to create three signature dishes:
  • Bolillo with Steak – featuring tender Hokkaido Beef from Toyonishi Farm, raised with carefully selected breeding methods in the natural environment of Tokachi, known for its moderate marbling and rich flavour. The bolillo is enhanced with fermented butter from Tokachino Fromage, which offers a deep, aromatic buttery flavour, perfect for the essence of premium beef.

  • Potato Cheese Ball – golden, crispy bites made with Bito Nosan potatoes, cultivated in the nutrient-rich Tokachi soil, paired with a luscious miso-marinated Camembert from Tokachino Fromage. The result is a harmonious combination of crispy, creamy, and umami flavours.

  • Crème d’Anjou – a light, velvety dessert made with cream cheese from Tokachino Fromage, finished with a vibrant berry coulis to complement its delicate richness.
Through this lesson, participants will not only master the techniques to prepare these dishes but also gain an appreciation for Hokkaido’s high-quality ingredients, from the premium beef and fermented butter to the flavourful cheeses and potatoes, showcasing how local terroir influences taste and texture.

To complete the experience, participants will also enjoy a curated wine pairing, carefully selected to complement and enhance the flavours of the dishes.

Please be reminded to bring your own apron and carrier for your lesson.
Starting 1 August, apron rental will no longer be available. Aprons are available for purchase at $10 each. Carriers are chargeable at $1 per piece.

Terms and Conditions:

  1. This 1DL is open to members and non-members.
  2. Participant must be 13 years old and above.
  3. NRIC / Passport / Student Concession Card must be presented for verification purposes on site.
  4. Do be punctual. Customers who are late for more than 5 minutes will not be allowed to join the Lesson. We are not obligated to reschedule the lesson and it will be forfeited with no refund.
  5. Members are not allowed to register on behalf. Member will be required to present membership card and NRIC for verification purposes on lesson day.
  6. For cooking lesson, the participant has to dine in at our studio. In the case that the participant wishes to take away the cooked food, the participant is responsible to bring take away box or container and to consume the food within 2 hours. The Company will not behold responsible for the food that has been taken away from the studio.
  7. Payment to confirm a booking is possible by debit or credit card only.
  8. Registered seat is not exchangeable or refundable under any circumstances.
  9. Strictly no rescheduling and refund under any circumstances.
  10. Confirmation details will be sent to paid customers by email. If you do not receive any confirmation email, this means payment and registration is not successful.
